How to Rent Space at UUFLG

UUFLG rents out various parts of its building (or the entire building) for various types of meetings or events. The following paragraphs are from the UUFLG Building Use Rules and Procedures:

SCHEDULING: All events must be scheduled through the Fellowship administrator by completing and submitting a building usage form. Priority is given to Fellowship and Fellowship-related functions including weddings and memorial services for members and their relatives.

TYPES OF USE: Our building is available for use by non-profit groups and c ommunity activities, such as cultural events, private and public meetings, non-partisan political forums and charitable benefits. Permission to use the building can be arranged with the Office Administrator.

FEES: The rental charge for each room is shown in the Rental PackagePDF.

Our building is NOT available to groups that advocate the use of violence, or discriminate explicitly or implicitly against any race, gender, and religion or ethnic group.

To rent all or part of our building, you need to:

  1. Contact the UUFLG Administrator via telephone or email about renting the facility. Contact can be via telephone at our main number, at 1-408-358-1212, X2. The Administrator will verify availability of the desired date or dates and let you know. If possible, let the Administrator know of alternate dates if your preferred dates are unavailable. Approval of the rental is based on our use guidelines, which are extracted above.
  2. Download the Rental PackagePDF. Fill out the pages of the rental form , and return them via surface mail, along with your deposit check, to:

  3. Once the rental agreement is received, the Administrator will add the event to our rental calendar.

Building Information

UUFLG will rent out one or more rooms of our building, depending on your group's needs. The information on room capacity is on the rental form ( page 2 of the package), but the images below should help you get a better idea of the facility.

Sanctuary (auditorium)
Capacity: 100 fixed (125 max)

Panorama of the sanctuary. Seating is raked, with folding seats, common to theaters, rather than traditional pews. Seating can be expanded with folding chairs (see photo, left side, for example).

East Classroom-Nursery
Capacity: 12

East Room-Nursery

Panorama view of east classroom. This room serves as our congregation's nursery. It's ideal for small group meetings (12 and under)

Kitchen
Capacity: N/A

Kitchen

The kitchen opens off the West Classroom (see below) but also has access from the hall. Its use is included in several of our rental packages (wedding, recital, west room).

West Classroom-Social Hall
Capacity: 73 (34 seated)

West Room-Social Hall

Panorama of West Classroom. The room has a folding divider so can be split into two smaller rooms as needed. Access to kitchen is to the near right, out of the image. Each half of the room has separate light switches.

Parking Lot
Capacity: 21 (2 disabled, 19 regular)

The parking lot is available for rent for anybody who needs it without the building.
