Garden Parties - 2011 Spring Planting Party

On April 23rd, nine volunteers came together for the third Sustainable Grounds planting party. New native and drought tolerant plants where put in as part of our multi-year Sustainable Grounds project. Led by Connie Springer the volunteers planted over twenty California native and drought tolerant plants around the UUFLG grounds.

Lithodora diffuse 'Blue Star,' a donation from Hugh Warner's memorial service, not a CA native but it is drought tolerant.

Three Penstemon heterophyllus 'Margarita Bop' and a Salvia clevelandii ( second from the left). All are CA natives.

Ceanothus 'Julia Phelps' donated from Hugh Warner's memorial service and three Achillea millefolium 'Black Butte' aka Yarrow. All are CA natives.
